Making a cute origami colored pencil is a quick, 1-minute craft that requires only 5 simple folds. It is perfect for bookmarking, school decorations, or giving to teachers. Materials Needed Origami paper (one side vibrant color, one side white).

Scissors (cut a standard 14x14cm square in half to get a 7x14cm rectangle). Black pen (to draw a cute Kawaii face at the end). Step-by-Step Folding Guide Prep the Paper Place your rectangular paper white side facing up. Position it vertically (tall like a tower). Make the Pencil Lead

Fold the top edge down about 0.5 cm to expose a thin strip of color. Form the Tip

Flip the entire paper over so the colored side is now facing you.

Fold the top left and right corners diagonally inward so they meet precisely in the center line, creating a sharp triangle point at the top. Shape the Shaft Flip the paper over to the white side again.

Take the long left edge and fold it inward to the center line.

Take the long right edge and fold it inward to the center line, overlapping or meeting the other side. Lock and Finish Flip the paper over one final time.

You will see a perfectly shaped colored pencil with a colored lead tip, a white wooden shaft triangle, and a colored body! Give It a “Cute” Kawaii Twist

Draw two wide dots for eyes on the white “wooden” part of the pencil. Add a tiny curved smile right between the eyes.

Use a pink marker to add tiny blush circles beneath the eyes. Learn how to make origami easily: The Pencil
